Deborah "Debbie" Kay Hoskins

   Deborah Kay “Debbie” Hoskins, age 67 of Hillview, returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 7, 2024. She was born on February 23, 1956, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Avery and Nellie Mae (Elzy) Corum. She was a member of Hebron Lane Church of Christ and retired from Hillview Branch Library after 20 years of faithful service. Deborah enjoyed reading, working with crafts, scrap-booking,  and researching genealogy. She read books to children at the library during “Story Hour” and taught the Baby Class at Hebron Lane Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Donnie Corum, Joseph “Jerry” Corum, Judith Ann Corum and Vicki Lynn Prather.

   She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Charlie Hoskins, Jr., and Bryan Hoskins; friend and ex-husband, Charlie Hoskins, Sr. (Karen); brother, Henry Corum (Rita); cousin, Cindy Proffitt; her church family at Hebron Lane Church of Christ and a host of family and friends.

   Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, January 12, 2024, at 12 noon in the chapel at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy. in Shepherdsville) with cremation to follow. Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 1 pm until 8 pm and on Friday, January 12, 2024, from 9 am until time of service at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home.
