Dennis Joseph " Big D" Fischer

Mr. Dennis Joseph Fischer “Big D”, age 75, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 9, 2022. Mr. Fischer was born in Louisville on March 12, 1947, to the late Walter A. Fischer and Marian (Baisch) Fischer. He graduated from Male High School where he was a 2 time All State Football Champion. He was the dedicated general manager of the Toy Tiger, and avid fisherman and a sober member of AA for 33 years.

In addition to his parents, his brothers, Michael Fischer and Keith Fischer and his beloved dog, Brutus preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his sisters, Kathie Fischer Organ and Karen Fischer Noonan (Tom); nieces, Kristina Payton, April Hyskell (David) and Candice Philpot (Jason); great- nephew, Jayden Payton; great-niece, Aliza Hyskell a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, April 15, 2022, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with cremation to follow. Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday from 2:00 pm until the time of his service at 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Cremation to follow.
