Dillard Glen Murphy

Dillard Glen Murphy, age 80, of Louisville, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.   He was born in Casey Co. Ky on May 18, 1944 to the late Walter and Ona “Campbell” Murphy. He was retired from Louisville Metro Police and U.S. Marshalls and a member of Fraternal Order of Police, an Army veteran. Besides his parents, he is also preceded in death by five brothers, Adron, Curtis, Jimmy, Donnie and Charles Murphy; sister, Mable Vaught; great grandchild Aaliyah Dunn. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Brenda Murphy; children, Robin Russell, Ryan Murphy; brother, Bob Murphy of California; two grandchildren, Jenna Murphy and Aaron Murphy; one great grandchild, Aubrie Murphy ; and a host of other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be conducted at 4 pm on Monday, December 23, 2024, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with cremation to follow.  Friends may pay their respects on Monday, December 23, 2024, from 11am until time of service at the funeral home.
