Donald Lee Bell

Mr. Donald Lee Bell, age 84, of Shepherdsville, KY, returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. Donald was born in Winterhaven, FL on April 7, 1937, to the late James O. Bell and Myrtle I. (Purvis) Bell. Donald was the owner and operator of U.S. Battery Corporation; he was a U.S. Marine for 14 years and 5 months and in the U.S. Army Reserves for 18 years. Donald was very proud of his service to his country he retired as a Chief Warrant Officer.  He enjoyed fishing, he had a big heart, he was loyal, loving, and a great provider for his family.

Among those who preceded him in death are his parents; one sister, Ellen Sturm, 2 brothers, Eldred Bell, and Bobby Bell.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 53 years Phyllis (Grace) Bell; his two sons Donald Lynn Bell (Nina), Reeves LaMond (Kelly), one daughter, Debbie Tyson (Roger); ten grandchildren, Brandon LaMond (Darah), Derrick Bell (Tiffany), Jordan Begley (Josh), Sydney Jackson (Nick), Bailey Bell, (Hunter) Tori Bell, Carley Bell, Paislee LaMond, Easton LaMond, Dean Lloyd; one great-grandchild Laurel Bell; one sister, Linda Alexander (Galveston) 1 brother, Elton Bell  (Jeannie); along with nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, from 10: 00 am until 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Brookland Cemetery.
