Donna Lee Petry

Donna Lee Petry, age 65, of Louisville, Ky passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 3, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born in New York, NY on March 3, 1960, however she spent the bulk of her life in the South Florida area. Donna was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and G- ma. She worked for Southwest Airlines and retired from Palmer Trucks as an Administrative assistant. Donna was a breast cancer survivor and was involved with Twisted Pink, she enjoyed traveling over the years especially cruise trips, she was a Team Soccer Mom, she enjoyed spending time watching cooking and home improvement shows and truly loved her fur babies Lily and Duke. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.  

She was preceded in death by her mother Catherine Lee Hamasse. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, her life partner of 24 years John Swanstrom, her daughter Jennifer Davis (Ricky), son Kyle Helms (Amanda), sons Andrew Swanstrom, John Swanstrom III, 8 grandchildren Jeremiah, Makayla, Isabella, Hunter, Zachary, Avery, Ezra, Owen, Aunt Gerri Brink, sisters Katie Helms, and Roseanne Walsh. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear family and friends.

A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy, at John Harper Freeway). Cremation was chosen. In Lieu of flowers please make
