Edna Francis Taylor

Edna Francis Taylor age 94, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, January 4, 2021.  Edna was born in Leitchfield, Kentucky on November 20, 1926 to the late Elzie and Mary “Carter” Burkhead. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Shanks; daughter, Gloria Blevens; 2 stepsons; 2 stepdaughters; parents; and numerous sisters and brothers. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Helen McGlesson, Gary Shanks (Patti), Trina Taylor (Gary), and Cathy Shanks; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be conducted at 12:00pm on Saturday, January 9, 2020 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood, and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway at Brooks Rd.) with burial at Hebron Cemetery. Friends and Family may pay their respects on Friday from 10:00pm until 8:00pm and on Saturday from 9:00am until time of the service at the Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expense.
