Edward F. "Butch" Vollmer

Mr. Edward F. "Butch" Vollmer, Jr., age 67, of Okolona returned to his Heavenly Father on October 18, 2013. Mr. Vollmer worked at Standard Gravure for 23 years and then retired from General Electric after 15 years of service. Mr. Vollmer was a U.S. Navy veteran. Among those that preceded him in death include his parents, Edward, Sr. and Dorothy Vollmer; and brother, John Robert "Bobby" Vollmer. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 40 years, Donna Vollmer; daughters, Kimberly Bailey (Daniel) and Crystal Vollmer (Tyronne Yearwood); grandchildren, Spencer, Kylie, Jasmine, Gavin, Maxwell and Macy; and sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Murphy and Beverly Fackler.

Funeral service will be conducted at noon on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
