Frank William Barr

Mr. Frank William Barr, age 88, of Fairdale returned to his Heavenly Father on April 20, 2021. Mr. Barr was born on October 30, 1932 in Fairdale, KY to the late Jesse and Bessie (Fisher) Barr. Mr. Barr was a lift truck driver for B.F. Goodrich and a Pentecostal by faith. Among those that preceded him in death are his parents, infant son, Allen Barr; infant daughter, Linda Barr; sister, Esther Beck; and brothers, Johnny Rayhill, James, Davis, Joe, Leo, Clarence, and Marvin Barr.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 70 years, Shirley (Arnold) Barr; children, Frankie Barr, Jr. (Donna), Richard Barr (Nina), Louise Powers (Ed), Stanley Barr (Cathy), and Keri Taylor (Les); 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and brother, Marshall Barr.

Funeral service will be conducted at 10 am on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Mt. Holly Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday from 1-8 pm and Tuesday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home. Family video on www.subfuneralhome.com
