

Glenn Ray Probst, age 78, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 12, 2025. He was born on August 13, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late George James Probst and Christine Lawson. Glen was a veteran of the United States Army where he proudly served two tours of duty during the Vietnam War. He was a man who was well respected. Glenn loved firearms, especially black powder guns, and riding motorcycles. He especially enjoyed fishing with his granddaughter, Audrey Jane. The highlight of his life was his family and especially becoming a “pawpaw”. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Leo Probst and Kenneth Probst and his sisters, Marcella Smith and Elizabeth Ann Heichelbech.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 40 years, Ruth Probst; son, Josh Probst (Leanne); granddaughter, Audrey Jane Probst; nieces, Dale Ann Reavy (Joe) and Connie Freibert; nephew, Ronnie Heichelbech (Donna); great-nephew, Shannon Freibert and a host of family and friends.
Graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 1:30 pm at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, Kentucky. Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) in charge of arrangements.
