Gloria Jean Dixon

Mrs. Gloria Jean Dixon, age 80, of Okolona, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 28, 2022. She was born on September 9, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Kenneth and Virginia Fried. She retired from General Electric after many years of service. Mrs. Dixon is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Richard “Dick” Dixon; son, John "Jackie" Shade; and sister, Myrna Hagan.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Laura Wagner (Phil); son, Richard Dixon (Kim); grandchildren, Dustin, Jamie, Crista, Kim, Tyler, Codey; great grandchildren, Kassidy, Owen, Brady, Sloane, Oscar; brothers, Kenny Fried, Mike Fried, and Denny Fried; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 4:00pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with cremation to follow. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 11:00am until the time of service at 4:00pm.
