Gregory A. Butler

Mr. Butler was born December 22, 1960 in Louisville, KY and worked as a mechanic for many years. Most recently he worked for Galen College and previously worked for several churches including, St. Leonard, St. Barnabas and Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, where he was a founding member.

Among those who preceded him in death include, his mother, Maxine Parent; brothers, John and Jimmy Butler; niece, Tina McKinney and nephew, Daniel Wilkinson.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 32 years, Cheryl Butler; children, Lisa Wright and Chris Grachek; grandchildren, Brittany, Hunter, Bryson, Bradley, Jasia and Kevin; great granddaughter, Alexis; sister, Lisa Whittaker (Paul), Linda Coates (Mike) and Dee-Dee Wilkerson; brother, Jimmy Butler; step father, Monte Parent ; his beloved Lab, Mason and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, 903 Fairdale Rd. Fairdale, KY with cremation to follow. Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.; use John Harper entrance).
