James Larry Bishop, Sr.

Mr. James Larry Bishop, Sr., age 73, of Jeffersontown returned to his Heavenly Father on February 13, 2018. Mr. Bishop was a retired police officer for St. Matthews serving over 20 years. He was a member of the St. Matthews Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #31 and Wakefield Baptist Church. Among those that preceded him in death include his parents, James and Margaret (Hupp) Bishop; son, James Larry Bishop, Jr.; and sister, Linda Bishop. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 57 years, Anna Belle (Chinn) Bishop; children, Marty Ray Bishop (Vicky) and Erica Zimlich (Dale); grandchildren, Joshua, Mason, Eric, Johnathan, Heather and Jacquline; great-grandchildren, Caiden, Kaylie, Isaiah, Conner and Walker; and sister, Sharon Shepherd (Curtis).

Funeral service will be conducted at 11 am on Saturday, February 17, 2018 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home-Mt. Washington (Hwy. 44 East at 123 Winning Colors Drive) with interment in Mt. Washington Cemetery.
