James Gary Maupin

Mr. Maupin was a 1968 graduate of Fairdale High School and a retiree of General Electric after 41 years of service. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and enjoyed serving the residence at Wesley Manor Retirement Community. Mr. Maupin was an avid bowler and a devoted U K fan. He was a wonderful husband, dad and papaw.

Among those who preceded him in death include his daughter, Tonya Maupin; son, Christopher Timothy Maupin; parents, Thomas Vernon and Mary Dorothy Luckett Maupin and brothers, Larry, Louis and Timothy Maupin.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Leona Maupin; children, James Gary Maupin, II (Rebecca), Anna DeLeigh Boone (Matt) and Timothy Earl Maupin (Allison); grandchildren, Jonas, Seth, Daniel and Dylan; aunt, Sister Clarence Marie Luckett; uncle, Ben Luckett and a host of other family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 11501 Maple Rd, Louisville with cremation to follow. Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.; use John Harper entrance).
