Jesse Dean Wright

Mr. Jesse Wright, age 71, of Okolona, returned to his Heavenly Father on August 27, 2018. Mr. Wright was born on December 20, 1946 to the late Willis E. and Juanita Wright. He was a United States Air Force veteran who served during Vietnam. Mr. Wright was the minister of Atwood Church of Christ and previously worked for the University of Louisville as a Career Counselor before his retirement in 2008.

Among those who preceded him in death are his wife, Teresa Wright and his parents.

He leaves to cherish his memory, children, Kim Wright and Jesse Wright Jr (Sherry); grandchildren, Brittany, Jaqui and Cheyenne; great-granddaughter, Arya; sisters, Linda Wright (Danny), Deborah Clark and Susan Burkhardt and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 31, 2018 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with private entombment to follow. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Friday from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home.
