

Jimmy Clayton LaFever, age 67 of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. He was born on October 19, 1956, in Louisville, Kentucky to Marie (Smith) LaFever and the late Walter LaFever. He was a retired truck driver for various companies and Catholic by faith.
Jimmy loved music of all genres. Before he became ill, Jimmy enjoyed fishing, dancing, and being around friends and family. He loved all animals, especially dogs and loved the UK Wildcats. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter LaFever.
He is survived by his wife, DeAnna LaFever; mother, Marie LaFever; son, Joshua T. LaFever Sr.; grandchildren, Joshua T. LaFever, Jr. (Cassidy) and Jadie LaFever; great-granddaughter, Emery LaFever; brother, Roger Dale Tungate (Anna); sister, Robin McKay; extended family: son, Joseph Allen (Beth); grandchildren, Lea Allen and Joseph Allen, Jr.; brother-in-law, Mike Hahn (Kim); beloved dog Charlie and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 6 pm in the chapel at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy. in Shepherdsville) with cremation to follow. Friends and family may pay their respects on Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 11 am until time of service at Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Kentucky Humane Society and Hosparus of Louisville in honor of Jimmy are appreciated.
