I had the pleasure of working with John on my crew here in SDF when he first came out of the "Utility" ranks.  We had a few things in common being both US Army Veterans and both of our wives being licensed barbers.  He was hard to teach the craft of being a "Mainteneer" but, I chocked that difficulty up to an Army Staff Sergeant who worked on tanks not wanting to listen to a "buck" Sergeant who worked on aircraft!!  It was my honor to have worked with John and I hope he learned something from me because I certainly learned something from him!!.  My prayers go out to all of his family and friends...Rest in Peace SSG John Keck "retired" and thanks for being a good friend.

John will be missed by so many of us.   He was a great husband to Kathleen a wonderful father to his children and one of the best of the best grandfathers!   I also want to add, he was an outstanding father in law to our son, Mark that in our eyes, we can see how much he adored him as a son.  We couldn’t have been more proud of this.  He treated every single person with the upmost respect and to have known him and his family is such an inspiration to all.   Danny and I are so saddened to have lost someone that we only had 14 years to know.

I had the pleasure of knowing John for 21 years. We met in aircraft maintenance school and both started working at UPS at the same time as mechanics. I had the honor to be partnered up with him when we both began our careers at UPS. Sadly however I also had the honor to be his partner once again to finish his career here. He always had the ability to crack me up and make a bad day at work not so bad anymore. He will be missed greatly.

My condolences to Family and Friends.. John was a funny ,no bullshit kind of guy.. really enjoyed working with him.. he will be missed.. god speed my friend..
