Joseph "Jerry" Walters

Mr. Walters was born July 22, 1934 in Louisville to the late Paul V. and Anne Estelle Downs Walters. He retired from the United States Post Office and was a member of Calvary Assembly of God where he was active in many ministries. Mr. Walters was an avid golfer and bowler.

Among those who preceded him in death include, his parents and brother, Sam Walters.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 57 years, Pat Walters; children, Kim Sandage (Fred), Pastor Jeff Walters (Patty) and Kyle Walters; grandchildren, Charity, Leah, Bethany, Brett and Amber; 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Bethany Cemetery. Pastor Dan Estes and Pastor Jeff Walters will officiate. Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst.
