Kimmy Irene Thompson

Kimmy Irene Thompson, age 56, of Louisville, KY passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 22, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born in Pennsylvania on March 28, 1968 to the late Robin Cowher. Kimmy was a devoted mother and an awesome Mimi. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her universe. She radiated warmth, kindness, and compassion, touching the lives of everyone around her. Kimmy's unwavering dedication to her family was evident in her regular attendance at her grandchildren's wrestling matches and sporting events. She found immense joy in baking sweet treats for friends and family, spreading love and happiness wherever she went. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents. 

She is survived by her son, Chris Wise (Brittany), daughter, Hannah Thompson, brother, Bummer Fiala, sister, Carlie Chamberlain, and grandchildren, Kalob, Leo, and Easton.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 6:00pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road). The visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00am until the time of service at the funeral home. Cremation was chosen. www.subfuneralhome.com
