Lawrence Davis Graves

Mr. Lawrence Davis Graves, Jr., age 89, of Zoneton, returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 28, 2016. Mr. Graves was a member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church. He served in the United States Navy and he was a lifelong member in the Navy Seabee Veterans of America from Island X-1 in Huntington, WV. He retired after 44 years as an electrician.

Among those who preceded him in death include, his wife, Marian Graves; son, Leon Graves; parents, Lawrence and Eleanor Graves; 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Diana Graves; grandchildren, Melissa Davenport (Scott), Mike Thielmeier and Kelly Graves; great grandchildren, Kayla and Dylan Davenport, Alec Blevins and Jasmine Thielmeier; brother- in -law, Earl Paul and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, May 2, 2016 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment in Hebron Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service at Schoppenhorst. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
