Lucy Fern Woods

Lucy "Fern" Woods, 74, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 9, 2016. Mrs. Woods was a retired teacher from Overdale School, a member of the BCRTA, and a member of Little Flock Baptist Church. Among those that preceded her in death include, her husband, Benny Woods; parents, Tom and Ruby Phillips; and siblings, Jimmy, Kenneth, Tommy Phillips. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Kim (Mark) Sturgeon; granddaughter, Leelah; sister, Cheryl Phillips; several brothers-and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 12:00pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood, & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.). Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm, along with on Wednesday from 10:00am until time of service.
