Marcus Lee Morton

Mr. Marcus Lee Morton, age 89, of Louisville, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on March 22, 2018. Mr. Morton was born on July 10, 1928 in Hardinsburg, Kentucky to the late Parrish and Mattie (Bennett) Morton. He was married to Della Margaret Morton for 60 loving years and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He will be remembered as a wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Mr. Morton was preceded in death by his wife and seven siblings.

Mr. Morton leaves to cherish his memory his daughters: Lee Etta Bowers, Brenda Basham Smith (Ronald), Vickie Robel, and Tammy Sue Morton; grandchildren: John Bowers (Tonya), Amy Bowers Meredith (Jason), Jennifer Lee (Greg), Michael Basham (Kristi), David Robel, and Matthew Robel; 8 great-grandchildren; Sisters-in-law: Jean Morton and Sara Jo Morton.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 26, 2018 at 10:00am in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Road) with burial in Cloverport Cemetery in Cloverport, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2018 from 3:00pm till 8:00pm and Monday from 9:00am until the time of the funeral service.
