Marjorie Gentry

Mrs. Marjorie Ann (Mathys) Gentry, age 91, of Shepherdsville, KY returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.  Mrs. Gentry retired after 21 years as a Food Service worker for the Bullitt County Board of Education.

Mrs. Gentry was preceded in death by her parents the late, Rudolf and Virginia (Whittwer) Mathys; her spouse, Cecil Gentry; son, Allen Gentry; sister, Eloise Stallings, and brothers, Freddy and Lee Mathys.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Wayne Gentry (Sandy) and Sue Pate (Butch); grandchildren, Devin Gentry, Patsy Allen (Gregg), Clint Gentry (Katie), Angie Campisano (Kevin), and Ronni Renfro (Larry); five great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Verna Cooper and Judy Johnson.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Anderson and staff at Baptist Health – Louisville Palliative Care Unit, and Hosparus for the heartfelt care given to Mrs. Gentry.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, in the chapel at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home in Mt. Washington (Hwy 44 East at 123 Winning Colors Dr.) with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
