Marvin "Doug" Pierce

Marvin "Doug" Pierce Sr. age 70 of Highview returned to his Heavenly Father on July 23, 2015. Among those who preceded him in death are his wife, Ruby Helen Pierce; parents, Marvin Edward "Bid" and Mary Ethel Pierce; brothers, Nelson, Tommy and Joseph Pierce. Mr. Pierce was employed by Hays Automotive for 40 years, where he was the superintendent.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children Mary Jo Gediman (Dan), Laura Pfannmoeller (Mark), Christi Gaddie (Eddie), Doug Pierce Jr. (Lisa); grandchildren, Shelbi, Jarron and Jaxon Gaddie, Maggie and Ben Gediman, Brady Pierce and Ava Pfannmoeller; sister, Shirley Rose (Louis); brother, Terry Pierce (Kristin); and Doug's sweetheart, Regina Throgmorton and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. on Monday in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, Preston Highway at Brooks Road (use John Harper entrance) with entombment in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville, Indiana. Friends may pay their respects from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday at Schoppenhorst.
