Mary Katherine Huntsman

Mary Katherine Huntsman, age 100, of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, March 4, 2022. Mrs. Huntsman was born in Franklin, KY on July 2, 1921 to the late Roy Cecil Kinnaird and Mary Gertrude Kinnaird. She was a member of Blackjack Baptist Church in Franklin, KY. She was an avid quilter and loving homemaker.

Among those who preceded her in death are, her husband, George Huntsman; son, Phil Huntsman; granddaughter, Janine Huntsman; son-in-law, Jimmy Hinton; siblings, Robert Kinnaird, Richard Kinnaird and Ruth Phillips.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved children, Bill Huntsman (Myra), Terry Huntsman (Rosie), Jerry Huntsman (Pat), Donny Huntsman (Sue), Ronny Huntsman (Victoria), Judy Stenbergen (Donald), Sandra Needy (Bill), Linda Wibbels and Vonda Hinton; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; her very special caregiver, Jenny Chamberlain and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 12, 2022 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Friday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of her service at 10:00 am at the funeral home.
