Michael "Mike" W. Sims

Mr. Michael “Mike” W. Sims, age 60, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. Mr. Sims was born in Louisville, KY on May 1, 1962. He was Catholic by faith, a diesel mechanic and cared deeply for animals.

Among those who preceded him in death are, his father, Charles E. Sims, Sr.; brother, Richard Lee Sims, Sr.; sister, Janet Massey Jacobs and nephew, Christopher Massey.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Tabitha Sims; son, Dillon Sims; mother, Joyce Ann Sims; brother, Charles Edward Sims, Jr.; several nieces, nephews and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 17, 2022 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at St. Michael Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of his service at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
