Michael Keith Nichols

Mr. Michael Keith Nichols, age 66, of Brandenburg, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, October 1, 2023. He was born on July 5, 1957 to the late Keith Franklin Nichols and Jewell Elizabeth Tomes in Louisville, Kentucky. Mike worked for Henry Vogt Machine Company for almost 20 years before pursuing a career in the HVAC industry. Mike followed his dream of owning his own company and started N&L Services in 2012. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and all things related to hot rods, but most of all spending time with his family. Mike was United Baptist by faith, being baptized at Beech Grove United Baptist Church in Grayson County, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his parents, and half-brothers, Darrell Ray Embry, and Jerry Hatton.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 25 years, Nancye “Francie” Nichols (Houck); daughter, Linda (Nichols) Lewis (Chris); grandchildren, Sydney and Jackson Lewis; brother, Ronald Embry (Sherry); and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 12:00pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Hwy 44 E. at Winning Colors Dr.) with burial to follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 12:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Monday from 10:00am until the time of service at 12:00pm. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Meade County Animal Shelter.
