Nathan Allen Peebles

Mr. Nathan A. Peebles, age 61, of Hillview, returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, July 9, 2020 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Peebles was born on Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia on April 29, 1959 to the late Buddy R. Peebles and Shirley Ann Peebles. He was a devout member of Maryville Baptist Church, he loved to read his scriptures and study the word of God. He served in the United States Army as a combat engineer and he was a Kentucky Colonel.

Mr. Peebles joined his beloved son, Matthew Allen Peebles who preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Becky Peebles; children, Marshall Peebles (Ashley) and Michael Anderson (Katherine); grandchildren, Kaylee, Andrew, Lily and Lucas; siblings, Buddy R. Peebles, Jr. (Jan), Janet Matthews, Michael D. Peebles (Betty), Mary Margaret Jeffries (Danny) and Shelia Casey (John); mother-in-law, Jean Baunach; his Maryville Baptist Church family; a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday, July 13, 2020 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Fairhaven Men’s Home in honor of his son, Matthew A. Peebles.
