Neoma Evelyn Brewer Gray

Mrs. Neoma Evelyn Brewer Gray, age 89, of Brooks returned to her Heavenly Father on September 26, 2016. Mrs. Gray was a former employee of General Electric and a member of V.F.W. Post #5710 and Moose Lodge #5. She was a founding member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #157. Among those that preceded her in death include her parents, Jesse and Otha Atherton Brewer; husband, William (Bill) Gray; and siblings, Mae Allen, Elsie Neagle, Ella Clark and Helen Ireland. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Mildred Smith, Sandra Chancey (Mike), Sheila Froman and Sharon King (Brad); grandchildren, Jimmy Smith, Brent (Tammy) Smith, Kristie Weyer, Terry (Stacy) Froman, Kim (Joe) Hoskinson, Shane (Barbie) King, Jason (Emily) King and Travis (Savannah) King; 20 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Thomas Brewer, Dorothy Hadley, Lerman Brewer and Lois Noe; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm on Friday, September 30, 2016 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with interment in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 1-8 pm and Friday from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to V.F.W.
