Nicole Elizabeth Gerkins

Mrs. Nicole Elizabeth Gerkins, age 52, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, November 26, 2021. Mrs. Gerkins was born in Jackson, NJ on April 5, 1969 and she was a mission engagement associate for Presbyterian Church USA.

Among those who preceded her in death are, her maternal grandparents, Mary A. Ripley and Harold E. Ripley; paternal grandparents, Peter J. Bounpane and Pauline Bounpane; parents-in-law, Michael and Margie Gerkins.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Michael D. Gerkins; children, Darrell Parker (Carmyn), Tony Parker and Amber Carpenter; 4 grandchildren; parents, Robert and Judith Bounpane; sister, Erin Snader (Josh); nieces, Emily and Erica Snader; siblings-in-law, Margie Wilhjelm (Doug), Kenny Dillander (Kelli) and Lisa Tuggle (Troy); a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other family and many dear friends and colleagues.   

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 3, 2021 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Friday from 9:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm on Friday.
