Pearl Martin

Mrs. Huey Pearl Martin, 82, of Louisville, KY, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023. She was born in Baron County, Ky on October 20, 1940, to the late Ellis Hugh Pardue and Selma Pauline (Wheat) Pardue. Huey retired as a clerk for Dun & Bradstreet Company, and she also enjoyed working at Macy’s. So much so she named her puppy dog Macy. She was a Baptist by faith, and a member of Little Flock Baptist Church, she enjoyed entertaining her family and friends, she was one of six children and a mother of two children of her own. It’s been said that she was very good at her job, and nothing slipped by her, she made sure everything was exact. She was a simple lady and truly loved her family. Huey will be truly missed by all who know her, especially her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Rayburn Thomas, her second husband Eugene Martin, her son Ricky Thomas, three brothers, Guy, Justin, and Dennis Pardue, and sister, Nancy Pardue.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Karen Thomas, grandson Blake Thomas, and daughter-in-law. Janae Thomas, sister, Mary Dee Williams. Along with a host of nieces and nephews, and other dear family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N.Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd). Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, June 16, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Entombment will be Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery.
