Robert Allen Manning

Mr. Robert Allen Manning, age 73, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. Mr. Manning was born in Louisville, KY on July 27, 1951 to the late John Manning and Anna Mae Manning. He served with dignity and strength in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Marcus Lindsey Methodist Church and found peace in solitude and quiet moments. 

In addition to his parents, his brothers, Charles Manning and Gary Manning and his sister, Debbie McGee preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 33 years, Karen Sue Smith Manning; brothers, John Manning (Sue) and George Manning (Jayne); niece, Lisa Sharpe (Kris); step-grandchildren, Jerry Smith, Mallory Meenach and Courtney Smith; stepson, Jerry Smith and a host of nieces, nephews and other of dear family. 

Funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY alongside his brothers in arms. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:30 at the funeral home.
