Sandra Rae Allen

   Sandra Rae Allen, age 62 of Highview, returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. She was born on March 9, 1961 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Ray and Glenna Eversole Sturgill. Sandra loved the beach and enjoyed reading. She taught Sunday School classes at Cooper Memorial United Methodist Church prior to her illness. She was caring, always putting others before herself, but her true passion was spending time with and enjoying her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tarah Ann Johnson and brothers, Gary Sturgill and Bruce Sturgill.

   She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Ashley Skeeters (Dustin) and John Allen (Ahjung); grandson, Timmy Skeeters; sister, Pam Ledrick;  fur-babies, Ninja and Sammy and a host of other family and friends.

   Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy. in Shepherdsville) is in charge of arrangements where the family will honor Sandra’s request of cremation.
