Sandra Lee Gilbert

Mrs. Sandra Lee Gilbert, age 76, of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. Mrs. Gilbert was born in Ottumwa, Iowa on May 23, 1946 to the late Leonard Calhoon and Florence Collins Westerfield.

In addition to her parents, her daughter, Karen Hadley; grandson, Glyn Matthew; and siblings, Robert Calhoon, Loretta West, Patty Morgan and Shirley Henson preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 60 years, Glyn M. Gilbert; children, Marty Gilbert (Carolyn), Tracy Renfro (Steve) and Dana Purvis; grandchildren, Krissie, Amanda, Keith, Danielle, Shelby, Zackary, Drew, Austin, Kylie, Nolan and Bryce; 8 great-grandchildren, brother, Thomas Calhoon; best friends, Patsy Stanbery and Edgar Vilums and a host of other dear family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, August 19, 2022 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday from 1:00 pm until the time of her service at 6:00 pm.

Graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Brookland Cemetery.
