Sharon "Sheri" Lewis

Mrs. Sharon "Sheri" Lewis, age 73, of Hillview, returned to her Heavenly Father with her dear husband by her side, and surrounded by her loving family, on July 24, 2017. Mrs. Lewis was born on June 13, 1944 to the late Ernest and Elsie "Heikkinen" Mukka. She was a homemaker after she retired from Central State where she worked for Seven Counties. Sheri loved the "boat" (casino), gaming, and playing bingo on line. She and Obie loved to play Yahtzee with dear friends Jeff and Neva every Friday and Saturday night since 1994. They even have a book with every game recorded since they began. Of all the things she loved, Sheri loved her family the most, she loved her husband and son unconditionally. She will be greatly missed.

Among those that preceded her in death include her parents and her brother William Mukka.

Mrs. Lewis leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 55 years, Obie Lewis; son, Steven Lewis; Grandson, Jeremy Lewis; sisters, Dorothy Wiley (Jim), Darlene Lewis, and Lois Mukka; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends Jeff and Neva; and a whole host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Highway at Brooks Road, Shepherdsville, Kentucky 40165) with burial in Chenoweth Run Cemetery to follow. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 3:00 pm till 8:00 pm and on Wednesday from 9:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
