Shirley Mae Adams

Shirley Mae Kohne Adams, age 67, of Shepherdsville, KY returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, November 10, 2023.   She was born in Jefferson County, KY on May 2, 1956 to the late Sylvester Robert Kohne and Shirley Mae Allendorf Leigh.

She was a retired General Manager for White Castle Systems, who had been a dedicated leader of the business for 40 years.

Besides her parents, she is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 21 years, David Adams; grandson, Matthew “Whinebox” Scott Greene and a brother, Samuel David Kohne.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter and caregiver, Elizabeth Ann Hardy; son, Chad Michael Fields; grandchildren, Christopher “Monster Man” Michael Major (Kaitlin) and Elizabeth Hope “Hopie Doodle” Greene; great grandchildren, Autumn Major, Tierney Major and Arianna Meenach; sisters, Norma Gwen Habenstein and Shawna Sue Jones (Mark Wade Jones); her fur-babies, Lucy Lu and Kee-Kee and a host of loving nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 12 noon on Saturday, November 18, 2023, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial to follow in the Brookland Cemetery.  Friends may pay their respects on Friday, November 17, 2023, from 1 pm until 8 pm and on Saturday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.
