Shirley Ann Shepherd

Mrs. Shirley Ann Shepherd, age 72, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, March 16, 2018. Mrs. Shepherd was born in Louisville, Kentucky on November 15, 1945 to the late Ernest Ray and Nellie Viney Tindal. Mrs. Shepherd was a member of Gospel of Christ Church in Fairdale and retired from Wal-Mart where she worked in the cash office. She loved to read and would often finish an entire book in one day. Mrs. Shepherd enjoyed her life. She loved her church and her family, and she will be greatly missed.

Among those preceding her in death include 1 brother, Johnny Tindal; 1 granddaughter, Amanda DeLano; and 1 great granddaughter, Chloe DeLano. 

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 28 years, Clarence Shepherd; 4 children, Jacki Crouch, Terry Hackel (Sandy), Chrissy Hackel (Jimmy), Timothy Hackel (Jennifer); 7 stepchildren, Linda Cole (Dennis), Peggy Kile (Hugh), Mary Boldin, Margie, Connie (Burt), Shirley Ann, Danny Shepherd (Nina); 22 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; 1 sister, Cathy Husband; 1 brother, Mervin Oscar Osborne; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington. Friends may pay their respects from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday and from 10:00 am the time of the service on Wednesday.

Due to the inclimate weather Mrs. Shepherd's  funeral service has been moved to 2:00 pm Thursday March 22, 2018 with burial to follow at Highland Memorial Gardens in Mt. Washington.
