Mr. Vernon Ray Ortenzi, age 73, of Shepherdsville, Ky returned to his Heavenly Father Thursday, September 24, 2020. Mr. Ortenzi was retired from Bell South, an Army veteran and a member of Redeeming Grace Chapel in Bardstown, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Inis (Helton) Ortenzi; and Lillian Ortenzi.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sandy Castle Ortenzi; daughters, Tanya Holt (Alika) ; son, Doug Ortenzi (Jennifer) ; brother, Darryl Ortenzi ; grandchildren, Molly, Annie, Daisy , Zach ,Jack ,Ryan and Cooper and a host of family and friends.
Funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2020 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with burial in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects Wednesday, September 30, 2020 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and after 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service.
