

He was a graduate of Okolona High School. He was a veteran of the Navy serving in the Korean War 1949 - 1953 serving on the USS Tripoli. Bill was an active member of Life Bridge Christian Church, and he practiced freemasonry. Most of his life he was a plumber, owning Kyser Plumbing and Heating and Bill Kyser Pool, Heater, and Spa Service.
In addition to his parents, he was also proceeded in death by his 1st wife, Lucy Rice Kyser and a son, William Cecil Kyser.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Ruth Grief; brother, Robert Kyser (Linda); sister, Patricia Briney (Joe); daughters, Darla West, Debbie Gorin, Kim Hennessy (Ryan), Lisa Hamlin (David), and son Kenny Kyser; grandchildren, Miles Gorin, Leslie Gorin, Dari Lynn Richards (Mark), Debbie Ann Rice (Randall), Reid Hennessy, Heather Scott (Tommy), Jeremy Hamlin, Matilee Hamlin, Keri Aswchge (David), David Davis; 12 great grandchildren, and 4 great great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 3, 2022 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Thursday from 9:00 am until the time of service at 10am at the funeral home.
