Rose Marie Vancura

Funeral Services are under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Shiner, Texas and will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 10:00 am at Dr. Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Shiner, Texas with Reverend Elaine Gomulka officiating. Interment will follow at the S.P.J.S.T. Cemetery in Shiner, Texas. A Prayer Service will be held on Monday, August 26, 2013 at 7:00 pm at Buffington Funeral Home Chapel in Shiner, Texas.

Rose was born March 14, 1924 in Shiner, Texas. She was the daughter of Jim and Bessie (Grossman) Vancura. Rose was employed by Houston Executive Air Service (Hobby Airport) for more than 20 years. Rose’s one hobby was Deep Sea Fishing, but she loved to spend time with family and friends.

Rose is survived by three sisters-in-law; Dorothy Vancura, Tellie Vancura, and Bernice Ebert, three nieces; Debbie, Diane, and Kim, four nephews; Albert Jo, Mark, Danny, and Jimmie. She was preceded in death by her parents; Jim and Bessie Vancura, four brothers; Adolph, Jim, John, and Edwin, one sister; Gladys.
