

Shreveport, LA- Albert Carroll, Sr., 78, beloved husband, father and friend passed away peacefully at home on February 8, 2016 after a lengthy illness. His memory will always live in our hearts. His life was lived with integrity and compassion. It was our loved one's wish to be cremated.A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016. Family visitation will be held from 11:30 until service time.
Al was a native of Shreveport, LA . He graduated from Byrd High School. After graduation he enlisted in the Marine Corps where he found his love of flying and mechanics. After his discharge from the Marine Corps he returned to Shreveport and later started his 52 year business as owner of Al Carroll Texaco and Al Carroll Service Center. He was known as a "hands on" business owner and offered service and friendship to all his customers. He was a voice of the Northwest Service Station Industry.
Al was preceded in death by his parents, Julian M. Carroll and Maxie Carroll Lotspeich; first wife, Ginger Carroll; special sister, Sally Carroll Blaine; son, Albert M. Carroll, Jr.; stepbrother, Jerry Lotspeich; stepfather, Leonard Lotspeich; brother in law, M.R. Blaine; niece, Leslie Blaine and nephew, Roy Blaine.
Left to love and remember him are his wife, Harriet Carroll; daughter, Karen Carroll(Steven); grandchildren, Julia Carroll, Grace Chaisson and Noah Chaisson; stepchildren, Roger Hudlow and Lisa Moore; step grandchildren, Jason Hudlow(April), Dr. Adam Hudlow(Aleisa) and step great grandchildren, Landon, Michael, William, Jack and Lily Hudlow. Al is also survived by special nieces, Lisa James(Mike), Laura Wiggins(J.J.) and Linda Gay(Lance) and sister in law, Carol Lotspeich.Honorary pallbearers will be: Dr. Arnold Castellano, Forrest Dunn, Billy Frost, Bob Stone, Leon Collins, Mike James and J.J. Wiggins.
