Alta was born June 13, 1932, raised and lived most her life in Murfreesboro, AR. She spent the later part of her life in Shreveport, LA living with her daughter and two great-nephews, Dakota Dalton & Skyler Mitchell. She was a member of Willow Point Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Annette Bumgarner Fredericks, sisters- Larrie Bell Harris (husband, Nim) of Murfreesboro, AR, Donnie Ruth Dalton of Fort Smith, AR, and Anna Jean Bumgarner of Murfreesboro, AR, and many nieces and nephews.

Alta is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Lendell Bumgarner, son, Michael Ray and a daughter, parents Sherman & Isabelle Lingo- sisters - Faye Tallant Ledbetter, Ina Sue Lingo and Lavernia Ballard, brothers – Elbert Lingo and Ronnie Lingo and son-in-law – Lee Fredericks.

Visitation will be at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, December 13, 2015, 2:00-4:00 in Shreveport, LA. Graveside service & interment will be at Japany Cemetery on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 11:00 in Murfreesboro, AR, officiated by Bro. Steve Franklin.

She is loved and missed greatly by her family and those that had the opportunity to know her and her sense of humor.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all the doctors (especially Dr. Timothy Nicholls), nurses & Synergy health care staff and WK Hospice for all the care, love and attention given to Alta. Also our appreciation goes to the many that visited and prayed for her. Thank you for being a blessing in her life.
