A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2018 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home with a visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Carol was born March 19, 1937 in Bryant, WI to Samuel and Velva Arrowood. She moved to Shreveport in 1960 when she married Edward Eugene “Gene” Aymond. She worked at AT & T as a telephone operator then as an aide at Barrett Elementary School for 30 years.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Scott (Joan) and Chris; four grandchildren, Ashley McKinzie (John), Sara, Jared, and Drake Aymond; and two great-granddaughters, Aubrey and Avery McKinzie. She is also survived by sisters, Irene Thompson (Bob) of Ocala, FL; Rosemary Zastrow (Jim) of Rothschild, WI; and Beverly Dakin (George) of Oshkosh, WI; brother, Ken Arrowood (Elaine) of Wausau, WI; aunts, Jean Clay of Antigo, WI and Ruby Szitta of Gleason, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Marion Gisselman; and brothers, Eugene and David Arrowood.
The family would like to offer special thanks to Dr. Nihar Patel, nurses, Lanie and Haleigh, and all of the wonderful nurses at the WK Cancer Center, as well as WK Home Health and St. Joseph Hospice for taking care of our precious Carol.
