A memorial service celebrating Casey will be on Saturday May 4, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Rd., Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. A private graveside will follow the service with family.
Casey Henderson was born on September 9, 1967 in Houston, Texas. She worked at Highland Clinic for 22 years as an ophthalmology technician. She passed away at the age of 56, peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2024 at home with family by her side.
Casey loved to go camping, watch the sunrise and sit at the lake. She also liked sitting on the patio smelling the flowers in the garden, drinking a glass of wine. She enjoyed meeting up with her friends or eating at her favorite Mexican restaurant with her family. Casey adored eating puffy tacos and a tall margarita.
Casey cherished her grandchildren. They affectionately called her GIGI. She always made sure they were taken care of and relished in making them laugh. She had a heart as good as gold. When she was sick, she still worked and tried to make each day seem as normal as possible. She was loved by all that met her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Lee Harlowe, sister, Roni Leigh Harlowe, step-father, Jerry G. Wise, and grandparents, John and Ruby Downey, and Carl and Charlotte Harlowe.
Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Betty Downey Wise, husband, Ken Henderson, daughters, Colby Henderson and Carly Henderson, grandchildren, Kylie, Aubree, Kooper, Jaxson and Braxton, step-sister, Sheila Rodrigues, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
