

SHREVEPORT, LA – Celebration of Life services for Chad Christopher Thompson, 21, will be held Friday, May 18, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. in the Centuries Memorial Chapel with Bro. Dalton Lewis of Emmanuel Baptist Church officiating. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport, Louisiana. The family will be receiving guests for visitation Thursday, May 17, 2012, from the hours of 5-9 p.m. at Centuries.
Chad Christopher Thompson was born March 13, 1991, in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late J.H. Thompson and Imogene Ford Thompson and was called unexpectedly to his Heavenly home May 14, 2012, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, Chad graduated from Caddo Magnet High School in 2009 and was a senior in the department of Engineering at LSU in Baton Rouge. He excelled in the sciences and had a profound interest for physics. Chad’s Quest for knowledge was unquenchable. At an early age Chad developed a passion for the violin and classical music. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and always enjoyed visiting with his family and friends. Chad will be remembered as a wonderful son, brother, nephew, grandson and friend.
Chad was preceded in death by his father; his paternal grandparents; Harlon and Jewell Thompson and his maternal grandfather; Jimmy Ford.
Left to cherish Chad’s memory and tell his many stories will be his mother; one sister; Wendy Thompson, one brother; Sean Thompson, along with many extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Honoring Chad as pallbearers will be Landon Bartley, Ryan Blake, Mason Ford, Mike Ford, Josh Ford, Cubie Mesecher and George James.
