Charlotte Dena Armitage, age 74, went to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 11, 2014. Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 28,2014 at 10:30 a.m. in Centuries Memorial Cemetery, Shreveport, LA. She was preceded in death by son Wayne Armitage, brother Ed Prentiss, father William (Bill) Prentiss, step-father D.O. Blair, maternal grandparents G.E. and Rita McKinley, paternal grandparents William (Sarge) and Dena Sadler.
Charlotte was born April 24, 1940 in Shreveport, LA and lived there until moving to Quitman, TX in 2009. She was retired from being a surgery technician at Willis-Knighton Hospital in Shreveport, LA. She had completed becoming a certified master gardener this year.
She is survived by her mother Maxine Blair of Quitman, TX, brothers Tommy Blair and wife Helen, Joe Blair and wife Betty, all of Quitman, TX., step-mother Emma Welborn of Kansas, sister Dena Prentiss of Kansas, brothers Mike Prentiss and wife Sandy of Missouri, Rick Prentiss and wife Donna of Kansas and Glenn Welborn and wife Sheri of Kansas. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and many friends who loved her dearly.
