Danita Hinson Brannam, 72, of Shreveport, LA joined her heavenly family peacefully in her sleep due to heart failure March 28, 2011.

Danita joined her husband, Donald Eugene who preceded her in death in 2009; her parents, Eddie Lee and Helen Jewel and brother, Donald Hinson, all of Rosepine, LA. She enjoyed her last memories visiting and spending time with family. She is survived by three wonderful daughters and three beautiful grandchildren; Donna Parker and son, Matthew Brannam and his wife, Wendy of Shreveport, Denise Brannam of Longview, TX, Deborah and Philip Maxfield, and grandchildren, Kari and Tyler of Shreveport; and three step-grandchildren, Ashley, Shayne, and Camron Maxfield of Ringgold, LA; sister, Nancy Stephens and husband, Grady; brother, Sammy Lee Hinson and wife, Amelia; aunt, Delight Jeter; and step-mother, Marcille Hinson.

Danita was born Sept 11, 1938, in Rosepine, LA. After graduation she moved to Shreveport, marrying the love of her life Gene Brannam on May 19, 1956. They enjoyed 53 years of marriage. After many years of dedicated service with the Bedroom Sleep Shop, she retired in December 2009. She enjoyed many friendships from her career. She filled her days with her grandchildren, baking cookies, and visiting family and friends.

Please join the family for visitation at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, March 31st , between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 1st, also at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Rosepine Cemetery, Rosepine, LA at 3:00 p.m.
