Dulani Whitley, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at the age of 25. He was born August 16, 1996 in Saginaw, Michigan. At the gates of heaven ready to embrace him were his great grandfather, Martel Lain and his aunts, Gloria Smith and Mae Boley.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Marlette Webster with her husband, Carlos; father, Dulani DeGrate; his maternal grandmother Sarah Fredricks, his paternal grandparents, Magline and Bobby Whitley, siblings, Camille Webster, Carson Webster, Darnell Fredricks, Kourtney Fredricks and Ebony Donald with her husband, Emmanuel; aunts, Angela Whitely and Chotsani Whitley; special cousins, Paris Sims, Karmen Sims and Denver Sims. He also is survived by a host of special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A wake for Dulani will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. A celebration of his life will occur Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Stonewall Baptist Church, 807 Eatman St, Bossier City, LA 71111.Dulani will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park, following the celebration of life. Officiating the services will be Pastor of Stonewall Baptist Church, Uelyss Reed Jr. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Xavier South, Ariel Lain, Damarcus Wallace and Chris Carmouche.
The family would like to thank the hospital staff at Medical City Fort Worth, those that sent gifts and flowers, the funeral staff at Centuries Memorial and all of the family and friends who traveled near and far to show their support.
