Edith was the best next door neighbor I could ever have. We spoke many times during the week, almost every day.

What a kind and lovely lady that loved life and lived it as God intended it to be. We spent many hours laughing and talking, as she always had the best sense of humor and attitude, as a true Southern Lady should!

I will miss my sweet, hilarious, and loving neighbor and friend. Knowing her since my high school days she became my mentor which had a tremendous impact in my life. She always left little surprises for me at my door trying to cheer me up when my mother and father passed away.  What a super lady and I will truly miss her.

I will miss sharing family stories with cousin Edith.  We could not talk without each of us laughing about some of the funny things that happened on the Sanford side of the family.  She was always special because she loved my parents very much and they loved Edith Mae and Aunt Hazel.

I wish I had known about Edith's death. She was a special person to my husband and I. She is the one who introduced us over 50 years ago. She and I also worked in the same building together (P&S Building) My heartfelt sympathy to the family. Russell & Elaine Barber

Edith was a special lady.  She would light up the room just by entering.  I remember her bright lipstick and blonde hair up in a bun way back in the 60's.  May God grant her peace.

“There is no foot so small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world” That is exactly what Aunt Edith did! Jimmy and I loved her so much and I will always remember her smile, her funny stories she told about my grandmother, Mama Lynn or to others Lenora. She was always so lively and funny and always bragging about her family and their singing talents. She is now an angel and probably singing with them all right now as I type this!! Though she will be sorely missed her memory will remain in my heart! I love you Aunt Edith. RIP

Today I am so sad, I wanted to go to her  funeral but am snowed in here in Atlanta.  But wanted to tell you how much Jimmy and I thought of Aunt Edith.  She was always so joyous and laughing and was so proud of  her family and their musical talents!   loved hearing her stories she told about my grandmother, Lenora & Joe Sanford and Uncle Henry and of course her brother and her neices!  I will always rememember her joining us at my parents house for holidays!  She was such a sweet person and loved daddy & our family so.  She called him Little Artie and seemed delighted for his large family!  She made everyone feel loved and I sure will miss her !!  God called home a special angel today.

I will always remember your special smile and love for life and family.  I Love and miss you.

Edith was such a fantastic friend to my mama& daddy, Tom & JoAnn Wiginton...she spent many many hours @ our house singing With my mama (Sweet Adelines)... When we were little, she would bring a huge bag of candy for us three girls, which we pretty much devoured before the night's end. She was a special lady...always had a smile on her face!  I am sure she is singing with my mama & daddy in heaven!

Edith was a dear friend, she will be missed by all who knew her.  My prayers are with her dear family at this time of sorrow.

We are saddened to learn of Edith's passing.  She was a cherished friend of my mother-in-law, June George.  I had the pleasure of getting to know her through June.  She was always a joy to be around.  Praying you feel God's love and comfort during this time.

We are saddened to lose a member of our Oaks of Louisiana family and hope that the memories of love and laughter shared bring you peace.  While there are no words to ease the loss you bear, we send our sincere thoughts and prayers to your family.
