

On June 20, 2016, Emery Lea Brattin was welcomed by proud parents Neil and Kristina Brattin, big sisters Julia and Loren Terry, grandparents, aunts, uncles and a host of friends. After one magnificent hour, Jesus welcomed Emery Lea back into His arms. Emery Lea was prayed for by many, loved by all who knew her story and touched countless lives in her brief time here and in the legacy she leaves behind. Emery Lea was preceded in death by maternal great grandparents Harold and Frederica Starks, and Don Festervand. Paternal great grandparents, Hans and Ursula Gensel, and Mary Brattin. She is survived by her parents, Neil and Kristina Brattin, two sisters, Julia and Loren Terry, all of Shreveport. Maternal grandparents Debbie Hadden, and husband Richard, of Bossier City. Rev. Mark Festervand and wife Elizabeth, of Shreveport. Paternal grandparents Barbara Brattin of Racine, Wisconsin, and Ron Brattin, and wife Lisa, of Louisville, Ohio. Maternal great grandmother Barbara Festervand, of Shreveport, and paternal great grandfather Donald Brattin, of Massillon, Ohio. One aunt, Amanda Festervand, cousins Elizabeth and Michael McMillian, of Shreveport. One uncle, Eric Brattin, and wife Andrea, and cousin Elias, of Silver Springs, Maryland. Three aunts by love, Ashley Ezell, Kady Huffman, and Hayley Mabry and a number of extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Bossier, on Saturday, July 2, 2016, with a time of visitation at 10:00 a.m., and the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Brad Jurkovich.
