Eric retired from Union Pacific Railroad as a Locomotive Engineer after 40 years of service. He was well respected and trained many new trainees entering the field. Over the years he made many friends who became like family through the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Eric was a valued member of the Bossier Sheriff's Posse. He attended Rose Park Baptist Church for many years. Eric was devoted to
God and his family. In addition to his love for his wife, children and grandchildren, he adored his puppies and LSU. He was the most loving, kind, gentle and forgiving man. Eric had a jovial personality and was always making his family and friends laugh. He was truly a good and honorable man who will be greatly missed.
Eric was preceded in death by his mother, Rosie Wyatt; his father, Richard Lee Hartman; his grandmother, Mable Cook, and his grandfather Elmer Cook.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years, Tina; his daughter Lisa and husband Chance; his son, Ricky and wife Danielle; his son David; and his grandchildren, Brittney, Alex, Raylee, and Dalton Hodge.
